Installation, Operation, and Maintenance of Stackable Energy Storage Systems

Stacked energy storage systems require installation in well-ventilated, dry spaces free from direct sunlight, such as balconies, garages, storage rooms, or electrical equipment rooms. Selecting a location near the home distribution box helps minimize line losses and facilitates future maintenance.

Thanks to their modular and lightweight design, stacked energy storage systems are convenient to transport and install; some configurations require no heavy lifting equipment and can be installed manually, thereby shortening the on-site installation timeline.

Installation must be performed by qualified professionals and involves precise electrical connections-between battery modules, between the battery and the inverter, and between the system and the home electrical grid-as well as grounding and communication line setup. The commissioning phase includes BMS configuration, inverter parameter adjustment, and the setup of grid-tied/off-grid switching modes to ensure safe and stable system operation. Once commissioned, the system is connected to a mobile app or energy management platform to enable remote monitoring and fault alerts.

The standardized modular design (optimizing the system into smaller, standard units) enhances the efficiency of logistics, transportation, and on-site deployment.

Modular design simplifies fault diagnosis and maintenance. It allows for the isolation of faulty units, limiting the scope of the issue and promoting safe operation. Furthermore, modular solutions enable finer control over individual battery cells, helping to improve the operational efficiency and availability of large-scale energy storage systems. Faulty modules can be replaced or repaired individually without shutting down the entire system, thereby increasing overall system availability.

The system achieves dust and water resistance through a high-protection-rating design (e.g., IP66). Additionally, remote status monitoring and early warning capabilities are provided via an intelligent cloud platform.
